CROP WALK
2019 marks the 50th Anniversary for CROP Walk, and the 29th Anniversary for the Troy/Clawson CROP Walk. In 29 years our local walk has raised over $505,280! Yet, 50 years of walking…and hunger still exists in our local communities and abroad. Let’s get back to basics: CROP = Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty.
This year our focus is on making the 29th Annual Troy/Clawson CROP Walk the strongest yet in fundraising. Our plea to participants is to push themselves to set a stretch goal for fundraising, then strive to beat it. Our outreach focus to local businesses will be to donate towards fighting hunger, rather than donating raffle prizes. Fellowship? We will still have plenty of fellowship before and after the walk! But this year, let’s celebrate the funds we raised, rather than the prizes we won.
Did you know? 25% of the funds we raise stay in our local community. The Clawson Food Pantry receives 25%, and Troy People Concerned receives 10%.
